Autumn 2026

Tuesday 22 September The Janzen Boys

The Janzen Boys are a rootsy, harmony-rich folk trio from Winnipeg, Manitoba, featuring brothers Simon and Mick Janzen alongside their father, JJ. Performing together since childhood and officially becoming The Janzen Boys after returning to Canada from Japan in 2012, they bring warmth, wit and beautifully blended voices to every stage.

Expect a feel-good evening of heartfelt originals, much-loved classics and the kind of family harmonies that stay with you long after the final song. Whether they are playing festivals, theatres or intimate concerts, The Janzen Boys know how to make an audience laugh, listen and sing along.

“They are the Wailin’ Jennys of male harmony trios... If you think dudes can’t move you with the beauty of their delicately intermingling voices, you need to hear The Janzen Boys sing...” — Roots Music Canada

Saturday 17 October Folk Side of the Moon (and other experiments in prog folk!)

According to NASA and the crew of Artemis II, there may be no dark side of the moon — but after careful scrutiny, they uncovered something far stranger: the Folk Side of the Moon.

Join us for a brilliantly offbeat acoustic journey through Pink Floyd’s legendary album, reimagined as it might have sounded if the band had not been able to afford electricity. Performed entirely on acoustic instruments by Ali and Grame Willis of folk duo The Devil’s Elbow and joined by Gary Davies, formerly of UK Floyd, this is a playful, inventive and surprisingly faithful take on one of the greatest albums of all time — with not a synth in sight.

Saturday 14 November A Night in Laurel Canyon – the music of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell.

Step into the sunlit harmonies, intimate storytelling and timeless songs of Laurel Canyon — the Los Angeles neighbourhood that helped define folk rock in the late 1960s and 70s.

This special evening celebrates the music, stories and spirit of that legendary creative scene. Pete Conner brings Neil Young’s restless, heartfelt songs to life, while Caroline Cakebread and Dom Lydon perform Joni Mitchell’s poetic, jazz-tinged classics. Expect acoustic warmth, close harmonies and unforgettable melodies that conjure canyon houses, open doors and late-night collaborations. A Night in Laurel Canyon is a lovingly crafted tribute to two iconic voices and the community that shaped them.

Thursday 17 December An evening with Simon Hanson

From managing Sketchley’s “Branch of the Year” in Louth, 40 years ago, to playing the world’s biggest stages, Simon Hanson’s story is a remarkable drumming journey.

Over four decades, Simon has worked with Grace Jones, Tony Hadley, Rick Wakeman, Baxter Dury and The Men They Couldn’t Hang, earned a gold album with Death in Vegas, and, since 2007, toured the world with Squeeze.

Join him for an entertaining evening of live drumming, conversation and behind-the-scenes stories from Madison Square Garden, The Hollywood Bowl, Glastonbury and beyond.

Hosted by Jason Baron, this is a rare chance to hear the drumming, memories and road stories — plus the answer to the big question: does Simon regret leaving Sketchley?
